Puppy Packages
Well Miss Dixie and Layla received a surprise in the mail today from their family in Ohio! They LOVED their new toys and Layla had to pull every one of them out of the box! Dixie liked them too, but only wanted to play with which ever toy Layla had, she felt the need to take it from her! Here are some cute pics of Layla opening their gift!

THANK YOU NANNY, RUTH, TOM, ROSEMARY, STAR, ABBEY, SUGAR, and SPICE!
Fun at the Splash Park
Up near our house is a park that has a "splash pad". The kids love it!! They get to run through the sprinklers and have buckets of water dumped on them. We went Friday, and met some friends Jolene, Mathew, Sammie, and sweet baby Kaylee. The kids have missed each other so much since we moved to Murfreesboro. Mathew and Justin picked up right were they left off and I believe will always be best buddies! Here are some pictures from the splash park!

Sadness for a friend
Death seems to creep up on you when you least expect it, and funerals seem to make you think of your own mortality and that of the ones you love. Sunday a good friend of Joe and I's lost his wife of 6 years. Only 25 years old she slipped out of his life while they both slept. When hearing of the news ours hearts broke immediately and instantly your mind puts you in that situation! What if I were to loose my solemate! But no one can understand the pain of loosing someone like that unless you have experienced it first hand. Our hearts are with Dustin and his son Braden and their family as they grieve the loss of a wife, a mother, and a friend!

Happy 4th of July
I hope everyone had a great 4th of July! The kids had a blast shooting their fireworks, and then our neighbors decided to put on a show and I swear they had a grand spent in the NICE fireworks. I felt like I was at riverfront! Dixie LOVED the fireworks, weirdo.. We had to keep her from getting to close. Its like she was in a trance from the colors and noise! Here are some pics of the boys with papa and daddy shooting their fireworks!

Happy 4th of JULY!

IUD - OUT
Well Friday June 27, 2008 Joe and I went to my OBGYN and had my IUD removed! WOOHOO We are so excited and ready to get this show on the road. I talked to my OB about everything, and some supplements Joe and I are taking and stuff that are suppose to help sway your odds into having a girl. We will be happy with whatever gender baby we have, but hey it doesn't hurt to sway!!!!
My OB gave me my prenatal vitamins and also talked to us about this new procedure, taking steroid shots every week after 15 weeks of pregnancy. It has been shown to help decrease the chance of having a preterm baby. And since both boys were born preemies, she wants me to go ahead and do my own research and then when I come in for my first prenatal visit she will have us talk to the high risk OBGYN in the practice. I am not sure if we want to go that route since it is still really new, but I am continuing to research it!
Having the IUD removed was EASY as pie compared to having it put in! It did not hurt at all and I had little to no discomfort after. It did though send me into ANOTHER period, well at least I had a 72 hour break in between periods..lol
Well I will keep you all posted on the whole try to conceive thing. We are planning on waiting one cycle before actively trying, and also my OB said it can take up to 6 months after an IUD removal to get pregnant, I hope it doesn't take that long!!!!

Chattanooga Trip 2008
We left out Monday June 23, 2008 for our trip to Chattanooga. We got to the city around 10:30am and decided to spend our first day at the Aquarium. We had a blast and the boys were amazed at all the animals:

Day two we set off for Lookout Mountain! After first being scared of the cave Ruby falls soon turned out to be one of the boys favorite!Justin and Nick were amazed by the falls and being so far underground! From Ruby Falls we moved onto Rock City, and had a blast! The boys loved the trolls and nombes, mommy HATED the swinging bridge, and Daddy loved the lookouts! After that we took the incline up the mountain and had a snack! SO MUCH FUN!
